Qualitative research offers opportunities to expand the scope of psychological inquiry to regions not amenable to quantification, but also raises particular challenges to evaluation criteria such as research validity. Qualitative researchers reject the criteria used by quantitative researchers when evaluating their work. Those criteria include validity, reliability and generalisability.
This article includes a consideration of the notion of ‘approach’ and its impact on the subject matter of science. It also entails reframing the notions of validity, reliability, and generalizability to match qualitative research evaluation purposes. As it seems, the integrity of the qualitative research process and the quality of the end product require evaluation criteria of quite a different

The content analysis method is one of the most applicable research methods in social science. In the current educational system of the country, textbook is the most important means of education that contains the curriculum content. Therefore, analysis of textbook content, for purposes such as conforming to the curriculum goals or recognizing the strengths and weaknesses of textbooks, is critical. The content analysis method is one of the most common ways in which this analysis can be performed.
In this article, content analysis has been introduced and common techniques and methods of textbook content analysis have been described. In this introduction, all techniques and methods have been divided into two main groups of indexing tools and readability formulas. Specifications, attributes and applications of indexing tools are explained in this article.

The distance between theory and practice in organization science has always been a matter of concern and has attracted the attention of many organization theory scholars. The new field of meta-theoric studies has set a new path for this issue. This article strives to provide analytical answers to the following questions: 1. What is meta-theoric rethinking? 2. What are its consequences? 3. How is organization theory development in the light of meta-theoric rethinking? 4. Meta-theoric rethinking validates what definition of organization theory? 5. Meta-theoric rethinking confirms what kind of knowledge as useful for management experts? Finally, it is concluded that beneficial knowledge in meta-theoric perspective is local knowledge, not universal. Organization and management theories are not universal; believing in their effectiveness has caused their repetition. Theories are not the truth and determining fixed laws in organization science is futile.

The purpose of this research is to analyze some of the common statistical errors in behavioral research. Thus, four types of common statistical errors in behavioral research, namely misuse of null hypothesis, false report of p value, not reporting the volume impact, and inflation of Type I error have been conceptually studied. Additionally, methodological and practical considerations of the aforementioned errors have been discussed in detail.

The production of original science and scientific theories has recently been brought into the center of attention by researchers and policy-makers in Iran as a strategic priority. Achieving a creative and productive scientific community builds upon a detailed and profound understanding of those factors which affect the process of scientific production. Amongst these factors, psychological variables play an important role. The psychology of science is an emerging and novel member of science studies family which applies the theoretical frameworks and tools of psychology to studying the behavior of scientists as well as the mechanisms through which psychological variables affect scientific behavior. The psychology of science is a member of science studies and is also rooted in paradigms and theoretical traditions of the science of psychology. This paper reviews the historical emergence and development of the field. The paper also provides an analysis of challenges around the epistemological foundations of the psychology of science.

Post-modernism suggests a revolutional view in the field of social science. This approach questions the validity of modern science and objective knowledge. With a paleological reflection, many have sought roots of postmodernism in humanism and emphasize the role and impact of its terms and concepts in restructuring social science. They also strive to demonstrate how postmodernism's conflict with rationality has influenced all practical fields; for instance, by questioning awareness and logical subject in psychoanalysis, by challenging the bureaucratic and hierarchical decision-making structures in politics, and by supporting regional culture in contrast to universal culture in anthropology.

The institutionalist approach, as a school of thought that embraces both theory and method, concentrates on the causes and effects of political institutions and supports liberal-democracy political values. Institutionalists analyze the decisions of individuals in the context of institutional structure, emphasizing on institutions in their analyses. The main characteristics of institutionalism are: constitutionalism, structuralism, holism and normative analysis.
New institutionalism is distinguished by concentration on rules, the informal concept of institution, dynamism of institutions, the normative-critic position, the discontinuity of institution and differentiation from old institutionalism. After the Second World War, political science focused on individualistic behaviorism and rational choice hypotheses. Both of these approaches are based on the assumption that individuals, as individuals, act autonomously according to their own benefits. Behaviorists believe that individuals' decisions are made by themselves, not by any institution
