Several studies have used qualitative methods to investigate a single phenomena. The variety of qualitative studies about a single phenomenon has enabled the synthesis of these studies to provide new interpretations of a social phenomenon. The meta-synthesis method is one of the emerging methods in qualitative studies that is expanding its use in social science research. This method is used to systematically interpret the results of qualitative studies to provide a new explanation of the single phenomenon under investigation. Increasing use of this method leads more researchers to familiarize themselves with the importance of meta-synthesis, its applications, the steps involved, the validation process, and the common difficulties researchers have to deal with when using this approach. Using the diverse literature on the methodology of meta-synthesis, here we present similarities and differences of meta-syntehsis compared with other similar methods, identify the processes needed to conduct this type of research, to improve the reliability of it, and finally we address the common errors researchers face when using this method در میان مطالعات حوزه علوم انسانی و اجتماعی، تعداد پژوهش‌هایی که برای بررسی و تفسیر پدیده‌ها از روش‌های کیفی بهره می‌برند رو به افزایش است.<br /> در بسیاری از موضوعات می‌توان مطالعات کیفی متعددی را یافت که پدیده مشترکی را مورد بررسی قرار داده‌اند. تعدد مطالعات کیفی در مورد یک پدیده واحد، این امکان را فراهم آورده تا با سنتز این مطالعات، امکان ایجاد تفسیری جدید از پدیده‌ای انسانی و یا اجتماعی حاصل گردد. روش فراترکیب از روش‌های نوظهور در مطالعات کیفی است که استفاده از آن در تحقیقات علوم اجتماعی  رو به گسترش است. این روش جهت تفسیر سیستماتیک نتایج مطالعات کیفی برای تبیینی جدید از پدیده مشترک مورد مطالعه، استفاده می‌شود. افزایش بهره‌گیری از این روش، باعث اهمیت آشنایی محققان با جایگاه فراترکیب، مراحل انجام، نحوه اعتبارسنجی و مشکلات متداول در استفاده از آن می‌گردد. این مقاله با استفاده از ادبیات روش‌شناسی متنوع روش فراترکیب، با مشخص کردن تشابه و تفاوت این روش با سایر روش‌های مشابه، پیشنهاد مراحل فرایند تحقیق، شیوه افزایش اعتبار این نوع از تحقیقات و در نهایت اشتباهات شایع در استفاده از این روش را رائه می‌نماید https://method.rihu.ac.ir/article_1629_b681e29c4bb0968349a72cf2ebb4de55.pdf
