Bourdieu and Analyzing Social Issues in Educational Research

Abstract

Educational research is an interdisciplinary research. Therefore, for the purpose of accurately explaining and analyzing the educational issues, a researcher in this field needs to use social research methods and related theories. One of the research approaches in the social sciences is the result of Bourdieu's approach to the twentieth century sociologist who has had a significant impact on social theory and sociology and has created methodological developments in various social areas, including education. Purpose After presenting an introduction to Pierre Bourdri's theoretical work, the main article of this paper introduces the methods of educational research based on his approach. To do this, we rely on a wide range of Bourdieu's writings published individually or with colleagues, especially in relation to educational issues. Not only on the basis of his analysis of his work and his views on research on educational issues, but on the basis of the approaches of researchers with Bourdieu's view, we have analyzed the method of social research in educational issues based on his viewpoint. The result of the analytical-descriptive study of the relevant documentation has shown that the Bourdieu study is the beginning of experimental facts in the field of educational practice. Educational research is also based on the analysis of the distinction between successful and unsuccessful students from the perspective of the social base and is necessary during the The distinction between what is created in the interaction of education in terms of social differences is analyzed and the educational content is explained in terms of the cultural symbols of the criterion
