Methodology is the study of how one can reach the truth. In fact, the English word method is derived from the Greek word Meta (following) and Hodos (the way). Thus, the implication of "method" is that in order to attain some purpose, one should follow a certain way. So Methodology can be defined as the strategies of using different ways to gather data and analyze them with the best measures of validity and reliability. This article is an introduction to methodology of drawing science map. In this Article, first we describe the relationship between Science map and Scientometrics (the science of measuring and analyzing science) and then with an outlook to the background of this field, its logical process will be reviewed and Map of Public Administration as a case study shall be presented.
