Despite the fact that research methodology is one of the major concepts in the field of Human Sciences and some other fields, university students do not manage to learn the research skill during their higher education. This problem is due to some different methodological and epistemological reasons. A degree of ambiguity in the essence of research methodologies, its overlap with the other fields and methodological and epistemological presuppositions are among the main reasons. The present article studies a number of these presuppositions and ambiguities and presents five practical ways to improve the teaching of research methodology.
