This article seeks to discuss the idea that tracing trivial methods should not be given priority in religious educational sources, and it is the acquintance with all-embracing principles and rules that involve the educational framework of religious perspectives which constitutes the true and right expectation in dealing with these sources. Imam `Ali's words and conduct represent a rich example of the sources aforementioned. Here are some of these principles: otherworldliness - antisecularism, pragmatism - dissociation oneself from desires, hopefulness - dissociating oneself from despair, persistence - abstinence form luxurious life, intellectuality - tendency to humility and selfishlessness.
