Abstract

The methodology satisfied by the parties of the missing link is the synergy of Islamic management and conventional management. The strictest readings of Islamic management also do not ignore the importance of a careful, critical and fundamental look at the achievements of conventional management, and conventional management also accepts the importance of paying attention to emerging waves in this knowledge under titles such as "multiculturalism" and considers it necessary. Despite all this, the lack of methodological approaches that are neither unscientific nor anti-religious has prevented both scientific fronts from familiarity and synergy. This research tries to find a common and acceptable basis for the methodology of Islamic management research by considering one of the deepest views about the structure of reasoning: Epistemological foundationalism. After this, an attempt has been made to develop this basis of mutual agreement as a systematic methodology by fundamentally criticizing the methodology of design science. The application of this methodology, which is called "design-oriented foundationalism", is in the exploratory researches of Islamic management, which is done for the purpose of designing a framework or modeling. Finally, the researcher's qualifications, validity criteria and examples of how to implement this methodology in some research related to Islamic management are shown.
